Gstaad without a change of trains
By rail, Malpensa to Gstaad means several changes and a final stretch on a narrow-gauge mountain line. By car it is a single run of about 280 km, and your driver takes the bags from the belt to the lobby. In winter we plan the route around the weather and road reports before departure, and the car travels on winter tyres. A Mercedes V-Class takes up to seven passengers with ski bags; a couple travelling light will be more comfortable in the S-Class.
