Madonna di Campiglio is about 220 km from central Milan and 260 km from Malpensa, so if you are flying in, Linate or Bergamo can shorten the trip; tell us your flight and we will suggest the closest airport. The last part of the drive climbs the Val Rendena past Pinzolo to the resort at 1,550 metres, below the walls of the Brenta Dolomites. In December and January the town hosts the 3Tre World Cup night slalom on the Canalone Miramonti, and hotels fill early. We drop at Hotel Lorenzetti, Hotel Bertelli and the chalets above the centre. Ski families travel in the V-Class with room for seven; the S-Class suits two. From Malpensa, plan on just under four hours. Transfers onward to Lake Garda or Verona can be added to the same quote.
