Ski the Stelvio, soak at Bagni Vecchi
Bormio is about 215 km from Malpensa. The route leaves the motorway at the top of Lake Como and follows the Valtellina through Sondrio and Tirano, a valley road that is slower in the evening rush and on Saturdays in season. The Stelvio slope above the town hosted the men's alpine events of the 2026 Winter Olympics, while the thermal baths have been receiving visitors for centuries. Many of our clients split their stay between the two. We drop at the Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi, the Bagni Vecchi thermal hotel or a chalet in town. In summer the car can take you over the Stelvio Pass for the view, as a separate hourly booking. The V-Class takes seven with skis, the S-Class suits a couple, and from central Milan the drive is a little over three hours.
